Enjoy Cranberries

Simple ways to enjoy cranberries

  • Replace vinegar or lemon in your salad dressing with the naturally tart cranberry.
  • Poke holes in 1/4 cup fresh cranberries, place them in a bottle with 10 ounces of heated white vinegar.  Allow to steep for 2 weeks.   Use on salads.
  • Balance the tartness with other fruits, honey or maple syrup.
  • Healthy spritzer – poke holes in a few fresh cranberries, add to your favorite seltzer or juice.  Garnish with a slice of lime.
  • Oatmeal – power pack your morning oatmeal with a handful of fresh or dried cranberries; or add a heaping tablespoon of cranberry relish.
  • Add fresh cranberries to your apple pie or apple crisp.
  • Add dried cranberries to your favorite trail mix combination.
  • Add a tablespoon cranberry relish to your turkey sandwich.

Recipe 1:  Using a food grinder, grind

  • 16 oz. package of fresh cranberries
  • 1 medium orange, quartered
  • 1 cup sugar

Recipe 2: Combine in a blender

  • 16 oz. package of fresh cranberriesTurkey Cranberry
  • 1 medium pear, diced
  • 1 medium apple,diced
  • 1/4 cup honey, maple syrup or orange juice
  • 1 tsp. grated ginger
  • 1 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar

Combine 1/4 cup honey, 2 Tbsp. dried cranberries & 1/4 cup unscented body oil in a blender.   Apply to skin, rest for 10 minutes the rinse off.
